Warhammer 40K Iron Warriors Full Rules HereAnd I have once again gotten hooked on the gaming bug.I have a decent sized army of the Chaos Space Marine Iron Warriors legion.I have had a huge interest in them since reading "Storm of Iron" which is still my favorite novel to this day, (kinda stoked Graham McNeill is gonna do an AMA soon!)And I fully intend to build the grand company from the novel for use in battle. My friends and I are quite committed to a long term plan of playing apocalypse sized games in the future and our armies will be growing to that effect over time.Would it be allowed to have baneblade tanks and basilisk artillery in my iron warriors army?I wish to have the main characters from the novel as playable units, to that effect are there already pre designed rules and data sheets for Forrix, Kroger, Hounsou and the Warmaster? If so where can I find them? If not how do I design them?I know there is no model, forgeworld or vanilla for an Imperator Titan (yet) but I also plan to scratch build Dies Irae from the novel as it is an integral part of the force in the storyline and I think it would be super to have that. Check out /r/miniswap.Read the Full Rules Here! Message the Moderators.Hi, I'm new to this sub, I am a returning player, previously I have experience of 5E to 7E rules but I have not really played for around 2 years.Recently my friends have all gained an interest in playing 8E 40k. No buying, selling, or trading. Free gpx filesI have 2x Eldar players, 2x Tau players, 1 Tyranid and 1 Dark Eldar and me with IWs.The old players already have access to around 3000 point armies and my IWs thus far are around 4500 which gives me options in games. But mainly this is for home use, I have six close friends 3 of whom are just getting into the hobby for the first time, the others are old time 6E / 7E players who like me are getting back into the game with 8E. I am trying my level best to make them look and feel as old and outdated as possible.I have access to a gaming club like you say with older guys who know the lore and would be ok with a slightly bendy IW army. And I love the challenge of converting and scratch building stuff. So yeah I just want some help in the rules for these units and the legality of incorporating Imperial Guard vehicles into my forces.Yeah I fully agree with you about anything "new", Like I am tempted to throw in a bunch of 30k stuff since the Iron Warriors would not have access to most of the 40k stuff. We want to play this for fun and entertainment and the sheer coolness of it. So, rules wise is it possible to have a Daemon Prince that is Chaos undivided without having to take any marks of chaos?I understand such an army would likely not be acceptable for tournament and Match play, certainly not in the GW stores either, but this is an army of passion and also for private games against my friends, some of whom plan to have their own special takes on their armies too no doubt. It was one of the key things in Storm of Iron and I fell in love with the idea of it. Just cannot stand them.Honsou has a "pet" Bloodthirster "the Heart of Blood" in one novel, so I might include that in my army too, good idea? And finally, I just HAVE to have Legio Mortis Dies Irae, Imperator Titan. I do NOT want defilers simply because I HATE the look of them. Then Honsou, Forrix, Kroger as Lords but hanging out with their own respective companies.Kroger will be in charge of breeching troops, I will soon have 40 Khorne berzerker types painting up and converted to be IW looking, even considering given at least some of them riot shields.Honsou will hang out with artillery and heavy armour units I'll give him his own personal Land Raider and honor guard.Forrix will be mingling with his Terminator friends and making mad charges against any Titans my friends care to throw at me lol.IWs don't have much in the way pf psychic abilities but I was thinking of taking a rogue psyker coven to give them at least something here. And they also don't seem to have an interest in fast attack units, preferring to blow the crap out stuff from afar then slowly advancing under armour, so I might skip out on raptors and bikes altogether or do you think I should still build up a fast attack wing?Lastly no Daemons, but certainly extensive use of Daemon Engines! So I will be having forge fiends and probably a Kytan Daemon Engine. Like when we meet up we hang out for around 12 hours at a time anyway so a day long apocalypse game would be easy for us, Also we have the room and table for it in my house :) We are quite lucky.I intend to have my army structured as close to the novel Storm of Iron, The warsmith Daemon Prince as warlord. But he admitted that they really do not know what is correct here.It would be an incredible advantage for my Tyranid frenemy to have cover saves, I can see that making his army a tad harder to hold back.
